Webware.com a CNET company conducted a survey recently. They are looking for the best 100 Web 2.0 services in 10 categories including browsing, media, communications, mobile, productivity, community, data, publishing reference and entertainment.
Firefox is leading in the browsing category. I myself voted for firefox and really find it as a major force in the open source arena. Also Drupal which is the core for this site as well is in the list.
Others in the selected categories were bebo in the community/social networking area, flickr, facebook and obviously google.
Over the course of 20 days in May and June, the community of Webware.com users voted for its favorite Web applications. There were more than 5,000 nominations for sites to be included in this awards program, which Webware's editors pruned to a list of 250 finalists. Users then voted on those finalists--there were 489,467 votes cast--to come up with these: The top 100 Webware sites for 2007.
