Telelogic today announced their takeover by IBM . I feel a bit amazed for Telelogic to take this decision considering the fact that IBM has many overlapping products and this will surely mean chopping down some products of Telelogic.
Also IBM coming out with Jazz release for ALM with some parts of it meant to be open source, i wonder where they will fit in Telelogic's portfolio.
I do however feel that IBM will surely maintain System Architect (erstwhile popkin), rhapsody (for real time development) and DOORS (for requirements management). It would be interesting to see what they do with rest of the product line.
